This year is shaping up to be a tough one for California’s lakes. I was driving up the 5 on Monday and had to pull over to photograph how low Lake Shasta was. To date, Lake Shasta is at 58% average for this time of year and a staggering 37% of its total capacity. 2013 has gone down as the driest year in California since record-keeping began in 1894. Mandatory water conservation measures are already in place in Folsom (due to Folsom Lake being below 19% capacity!) and it looks like Sacramento is next. Scary times and the late winter forecast isn’t looking much better.
But, in other news Justin Bieber egged his neighbor’s house. Lets just pay attention to that.
